AI Taekwondo Coach

AI Taekwondo Coach

Faster chambers. Cleaner kicks.

Upload a sparring round, bag work or a poomsae run. mmaGPT checks your chamber, your balance on the standing leg, your distance and where your hands are while you kick.

An AI taekwondo coach, on demand.

Taekwondo is a kicking art, and small kicking faults cost a lot. A chamber that opens a beat late gives your opponent time to see it. A standing foot that does not pivot takes power out of the roundhouse and puts strain on your knee. Hands that drop while you kick leave your head open in Olympic-style sparring, where head kicks score the most points. These are hard to see from inside the kick, and a coach running a full class cannot watch every rep.

mmaGPT is an AI taekwondo coach that reviews a 20 to 60 second clip of your training. It looks at the roundhouse (dollyo chagi) chamber, the turn and look on your back kick, footwork and distance in sparring, and your guard during and after each kick. For poomsae, it checks stance depth, balance and the finish position of each technique. You get the one fix that matters most for your level and a set of drills for your next class. It works alongside your instructor, not instead of them: it is a second set of eyes for the rounds and forms your instructor did not get to watch.

What we coach in Taekwondo

The techniques that move the needle.

Roundhouse (dollyo chagi) chamber

Knee height, the pivot on your standing foot and how fast the kick leaves the chamber. A tight chamber hides the kick. A wide one tells your opponent it is coming.

Back kick

The spin, the look over your shoulder and a straight line from hip to heel. A back kick that swings wide misses and leaves your back open.

Footwork and distance

Bouncing rhythm, cuts, and stepping in and out of kicking range. Most points in sparring come from being at the right distance a beat before your opponent.

Guard during kicks

Where your hands are when your foot lands and when it comes back. Dropped hands on a kick are the easiest head kick your opponent will get.

Online taekwondo coaching

An online taekwondo coach that works around your schedule.

Most taekwondo students train two or three times a week and practice poomsae alone at home. That home practice is where bad habits set in, because nobody is there to see them. With mmaGPT you film a run or a round on your phone, upload it in the browser and get feedback in about a minute. Take the drills to your next class and ask your instructor to check them.
