Kickboxing App With an AI Coach

mmaGPT is a kickboxing app that watches you train. Film a round of pads, bag work or sparring, upload it, and the AI coach marks each mistake at its timestamp and gives you the drill that fixes it.

Your first analysis is free, no card needed. After that, plans start at $19 a month.

  • Kick chamber and hip turn
  • Punch-to-kick flow
  • Exits after the kick
  • Stance and balance
  • A drill for each mistake

A kickboxing app that watches you, not just times you.

Most kickboxing apps are workouts and round timers. They tell you what to throw. What holds most kickboxers back is how they throw it: a jab too short to set up the kick, a round kick with no hip turn, a stance that gets wide after every combination, a low kick that lands and leaves you standing in front of your partner.

You cannot feel those from inside the round, and a coach running a full class cannot watch every rep. mmaGPT is the second set of eyes for the rounds nobody watched. It works alongside your coach, never instead of one.

How it works

Film a round, get the fix.

1. Film 20 to 60 seconds

Phone at hip height, filming from the side so your whole body is in frame, feet included. One round of pads, bag work or shadow is enough.

2. Upload it in your browser

Pick kickboxing and your experience level. A beginner hears about stance, balance and chamber; an experienced kickboxer hears about setups, timing and exits.

3. Read the note and run the drill

Each mistake comes with a timestamp, a plain description and one drill. In the sample kickboxing report: at 0:18 you land the low kick and stay square on the centerline, right where your partner returns a cross. The drill is Kick and Exit: jab, cross, low kick, then step off to the side before you reset, with the holder tapping a counter after the kick.

What it grades

The details that decide rounds.

  • Round kick: chamber, support-foot pivot, hip turn and recovery
  • Teeps and push kicks: knee lift, hip drive and how fast the leg comes back
  • Combinations: the punch that sets up the kick, and the flow between them
  • Exits: stepping off at an angle after the last strike, never square
  • Stance width and balance, especially after a kick

Train at home

Kickboxing at home, with feedback.

Home bag work is where habits set, because nobody is there to correct them. The rhythm that works is one upload a week: film the thing you are changing, run the drill for a week, then film it again and see whether the note has moved.

Time your rounds with the free round timer on the same phone, and pick a combination from the kickboxing technique guides.

FAQ

Kickboxing app: common questions.

What does this kickboxing app do?
mmaGPT is a kickboxing app with an AI coach. Film 20 to 60 seconds of pad work, bag work, shadow or sparring, upload it, and it marks each mistake with a timestamp in your clip (kick mechanics, stance, combination flow, exits) and gives you a drill to fix it. Your first analysis is free.
Can I use it to train kickboxing at home?
Yes. Bag work and shadow rounds at home review well, often better than sparring footage, because nothing blocks the view. Prop your phone at hip height with your whole body in frame, feet included, and upload the round in your browser.
Does it check kicks and punches together?
Yes. mmaGPT reads the whole combination: the jab that sets up the kick, the kick itself, and what you do after it lands. In the sample kickboxing report, the main fix is standing still on the centerline after a low kick, with a drill to step off at an angle every time.
What is the best kickboxing app?
mmaGPT is the best kickboxing app if you want feedback on your own technique: upload a clip and get timestamped notes plus a drill for each mistake, in your phone's browser, with the first analysis free. For workout and timer apps, see our comparison of the best Muay Thai and kickboxing apps.
Does the kickboxing app work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. mmaGPT runs in the browser on iPhone, Android and desktop with nothing to download, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. A native app is in development.
Is there a free kickboxing app?
Yes: your first mmaGPT analysis is free with full feedback and no card needed. Starter and Pro then start with 7 days free for new subscribers. Paid plans start at $19/month for 8 analyses, $29/month for 16, and $49/month for 45. Pay yearly and every plan gets 2 months free, so Pro works out to US$24.17 a month.
